QPS adds ColorJet Verve Mini to stocklist | Printweek

Quality Print Services (QPS) has added ColorJet’s small-format LED UV flatbed press, the Verve Mini, to its stocklist.

Priced below £20,000, the Verve Mini is designed to compete with smaller format Roland DG and Mimaki printers on price, and with Compress and Azon presses through superior technical support, according to Chris Bailey, managing director of QPS. Spare Parts

At 1,050x1,650mm, the press is smaller than other machines in QPS’ mostly wide-format offering, which includes flatbed, hybrid and roll-to-roll presses from ColorJet and Roland DG.

Bailey told Printweek : “It’s another string to our bow. We can cater something for everybody in the range.”

QPS buys in its presses dry, filling them with the Nazdar digital press inks it supplies.

“Obviously, being the main UK distributors, it brings the core portfolio around, and gives us a very complete offering to the market,” Bailey added.

The Verve Mini, designed for the custom merchandising market, is capable of printing on substrates up to 65mm thick, including foam board, acrylic, glass, tiles and cut sheets. It registers a top speed of 5.57sqm/hr (60 sqft/hr).

QPS was appointed ColorJet’s UK distributor in July 2021, allowing the Lancashire firm access to ColorJet’s Verve LED and hybrid presses, Vulcan roll-to-roll presses, and the SoftJet Plus and Grand printers.
