HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is seeking a driver of a car that collided with a man on an electric scooter in Jersey City Thursday morning, seriously injuring the man.
Prosecutors say that at 9:55 a.m. on March 16, the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a pedestrian struck in the area of Brunswick Street and Christopher Columbus Drive in Jersey City. Electric Car

Responding police found an injured pedestrian at that location. The victim, a 33-year-old Jersey City man, was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries, prosecutors said.
His injuries are non-life-threatening and he is currently in stable condition, prosecutors said.
During the preliminary investigation, it was determined that the victim was operating an electric scooter on Christopher Columbus Drive when it was struck by a light-colored motor vehicle making a right turn from Brunswick Street onto Christopher Columbus Drive, prosecutors said.
The vehicle did not remain at the scene, prosecutors said.
The incident is one of several hit-and-runs reported in that city in 2023.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating this case.
