LANXESS will be climate neutral by 2040. We are pursuing this target in an ambitious and forward-looking manner by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and introducing process and technology innovations.

Ultralast® becomes a  replacement for more exotic elastomers, such as polyether block amine elastomers (PEBA), copolyester ethers (COPE), fluoroelastomers (FKM) and hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR).

A broad range of Ultralast® TPU grades with different hardness and chemical backbone are available to cater the needs of different demanding applications. Tailor-made solutions are also possible and sustainability plays a key role in the product development. “We strive to innovate and to be attentive to fast changing world demands. LANXESS Urethane Systems is now working to incorporate bio-based polyols in its Ultralast® portfolio, contributing to a more sustainable world through carbon footprint reduction.

Recycled Tpu Granulum Ultralast® TPUs have proven their value in demanding applications, and have enabled parts including oil & gas mud pump pistons and hydraulic seals, to have their lifetime considerably extended and sometimes doubled. Other equally challenging applications such as valves, mining screens, pump liners and all sorts of seals exposed to harsh environments, greatly benefit from Ultralast® technology.
