February is — shockingly — over halfway over, which means we’re just a little less under a leap month away from spring (something which, mind you, Punxsutawney Phil claims will come early this year). Car Door Lock Latch

As the days stay lighter for longer and this warm weather ushers in the weekend, some of you reading this may be wondering (as we know you do every year): “When, exactly, is daylight saving time in 2024?”
According to TimeAndDate.com, daylight saving time will begin on Sunday, March 10, this year. Clocks will “spring forward,” as the saying goes, at 2 a.m. (ET).
And while there are those who simply shrug and dutifully change their clocks in accordance with the practice, there are others who are hoping time’s up for daylight saving time.
The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) tells of how hundreds of bills and resolutions that seek to establish a year-round daylight saving time have been — and are being — considered. In fact, a version of such a bill was reintroduced in the Senate not all too long ago, along with a companion version in the House.
In fact, a 2022 poll conducted by Monmouth University found now 61 percent of Americans would gladly do away with this biannual changing of the clocks. Another 44 percent would much rather have later sunrise and sunset hours instead of earlier ones, too.
This means that there would be no change in clocks in a move that some in the medical community, as explained by Harvard Health Publishing, would mitigate the harmful health effects daylight saving time may have such as increased fatigue. Nevertheless, the practice remains, so get ready to lose an hour come March.
And as for when daylight saving 2024 ends, that won’t be until Sunday, Nov. 3, at the same time.
Also keep in mind we’ll gain a day in February as it is, as previously mentioned, a leap year.
