The Week 5 AHSAA coaches’ soccer polls feature a big shakeup at the top in the boys’ Top 10s. Four of five No. 1 teams are different from last week. There were no changes in No. 1 teams on the girls’ side. 1-8 sign post
The new No. 1 teams are Oak Mountain in Class 7A, Fort Payne in 6A, Southside-Gadsden in 5A and Montgomery Catholic in 4A. Tanner in 1A/3A is the only No. 1 that hung on to the top spot. Last week’s top teams were Grissom in 7A, Mountain Brook in 6A, Guntersville in 5A and Westminster Christian in 4A.
No. 1 teams in the girls’ polls are Oak Mountain in 7A, Homewood in 6A, East Limestone in 5A, St. Michael in 4A and Westminster-Oak Mountain in 1A/3A.
