Apple’s iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro will look very similar to last year’s models, but now a new leak has revealed one significant difference. Translucent Glass

According to the same Weibo account which correctly leaked the yellow iPhone 14, Apple will release the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus with the same frosted back glass finish as Pro models. This would give the phones a more premium look and feel.

The source also states that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be released in a new cyan color option. Apple likes to switch up colors every generation, and the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are expected to launch in a new deep red color.

These changes won’t be the only external differences to the iPhone 14 line-up, but they are likely to be the most noticeable and feature prominently in Apple’s marketing.

Other external alterations are more subtle but significant: Pro models will scrap the iconic mute switch for an all-new programable Action button and dramatically reduce bezel size, while the whole iPhone 15 range will adopt USB-C (with MFi restrictions). The latter has been long awaited, but only comes after growing legal pressure around the world for the implementation of a common charger standard.

That means moving to the iPhone 14 Pro’s pill-shaped cut-out, Dynamic Island and the A16 Bionic Chipset. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will jump to a next-gen 3nm A17 chip with scarcely believable performance, while the Pro Max will feature the first optical zoom lens on an iPhone.

Perhaps the greatest speculation, however, centers around pricing. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to retain last year’s prices, starting from $799 and $899, respectively, but iPhone 15 Pro models are tipped to rise by as much as $200.
