Some important musings and FYIs on Rita's style before we go? Back in 2021, she told Fashion Week Daily that she was inspired by "Madonna’s whole existence" when it comes to how she dresses. As Rita put it, "She is such a badass. When I was younger, I was into making my own outfits and I would go digging in flea markets to find the perfect pieces. That’s probably my earliest fashion memory."
Rita also told Glamour earlier this year that people have been judging her for what she wears throughout her entire career, and noted that she loves Madonna "Because she knew not everyone was going to agree with her. And she just did it anyway."
Rita added that "I’m thanking her for that, because that’s given me the ability to be more outrageous, a bit more outlandish with things: how I dress, things I might say. I’m not perfect, but I think that’s what keeps my fans entertained the most."
